HIGGS LLP INTRODUCES ‘BEST FIT’ HYBRID WORKING APPROACH
Leading law firm Higgs LLP has unveiled a new hybrid working approach for its people.
Most of its colleagues will have the opportunity to work either remotely or from the firm’s Brierley Hill headquarters throughout the course of the week.
The approach, introduced this week, was agreed upon following a comprehensive consultation with colleagues and a thorough market review.
Sophie Wardell, HR Director at Higgs LLP, said the firm is ready to celebrate a new era of empowerment by enabling a range of working patterns that retain the best elements of remote and office-based working.
She told Prosper “Across all industries, we have seen businesses and employees adapting their approach to working. During the height of the pandemic, it was hailed as a flexible working revolution, and it stands to reason that we should embrace this incredible change as a part of the future of work.
“Here at Higgs LLP, we are proposing that, where possible, colleagues spend 40 per cent of their working time at the office during each month to safeguard wellbeing, to ensure collaboration and, of course, to meet with our clients. The value gained through hybrid working is as much about spending time together as it is about being flexible.
“Colleagues will, of course, be able to work from the office for longer periods should they wish, but we trust our people and our teams to make decisions that best work for them, both from a client perspective but also with work-life balance in mind.
“Our people are our most valuable assets and we have listened to their views and aspirations.”
The Best FIT approach and continuation of remote working is part of the firm’s overarching strategy to avoid a one-size-fits-all approach and to establish long-term relationships with its people and clients.
Sophie added, “We are adopting a Best FIT strategy centred around flexibility, inclusion and togetherness.
